In Essex we advocate training as being vitally important in developing the quality of Childcare and business practice. The Early Years Quality and Training in partnership with Pre-School Learning Alliance (PSLA), National Childminding Association (NCMA), National Day Nursery Association (NDNA) and 4Children have identified a range of subsidised Core and Best Practice training to meet the sector needs. These will be published each term.

If you are already working in a setting and would like to be nominated for any training we recommend that you speak with your manager or business owner in the first instance.

Training delivered by our Quality and Training team and partners  course bookings will need to be booked with the course administrator shown in the programme. At present  training may only be only accessed by workers in registered Childcare settings or who are registered Childminders in Essex.

Further information is provided in the programme to explain the nature of the training to help you identify whether this is appropriate for you and whether you are eligible to apply. There are many Training Providers in Essex but we have detailed below those who are currently signed up to the Quality assurance consortium:
