The recruitment team have recently been reaccredited with the Matrix quality standard. This is the DIUS approved standard for providing information, advice and guidance in the educational and recruitment service sector. Janet Bailey - Recruitment Assistant
Janet excels in her customer care role and is your first point of contact for job advertising, job applicants or prospective Childminder requiring information, advice and guidance. Your advert will initially be checked to ensure that this is legally compliant. Examples include meeting minimum wage guidelines and ensuring there is no age or gender bias before your advert is authorised to go 'live'. Vacancies will also be placed directly onto the Job Centre Plus website and in the Schools Job publication 'Jobscene'. To complete the range of advertising Janet is also editor and publisher of our fortnightly jobs bulletin that is circulated to the main public information points throughout Essex.
Emma Hamilton-Taylor - Recruitment Officer
Emma has brought a wealth of recruitment consultancy experience to the role. Now after being with us for 14 months Emma is due to move on having gained promotion within our Quality and Training team. This now offers an exiting new opportunity in our team. Through the use of our technology Emma is able to search our talent pool to find the right calibre of candidates for your vacancy. 137 candidates have been successfully placed since October 07. Emma organises a number of interview sessions with candidates in Job Centres throughout the year.
It is appreciated that some jobs may require specialist skills as roles become more diverse. Emma can help provide ideas to attract a wide range of interest. A recent example of this has been emphasising a position as a professional developmental or training opportunity.
Terry Hollingsworth - Recruitment Manager
Terry is responsible for managing the recruitment team and is able to offer advice on issues relating to the recruitment and retention of staff. A number of strategies have been developed in partnership with schools, colleges, Job Centres and careers advisors to raise the status and profile of Childcare as a career. A key aspect of promoting careers is through new information and resources. Recent examples of this has been the filming of quality award winning settings in Essex to develop a CD-ROM and DVD. Essex has received national acclaim for these innovations and partnership working. Terry is a registered vocational ambassador representing the Childcare sector in Essex on behalf of Skills for Care Eastern region. Terry will be happy to visit your business, school or careers organization by arrangement.
